COMMUNITY

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be a new area of east London for communities to grow and develop. There will be five new neighbourhoods built on the Park and up to 8,000 new homes; with the emphasis on family homes of three beds or more. To make sure these new neighbourhoods are great places to live and work, community facilities have been built into the plans – with 12 new schools and nurseries, three health centres and a new library.

For more information on the five new neighbourhoods, please visit the London Legacy Development Corporation website

The Park will generate up to 8000 new jobs too, in a new 91,000 sq m commercial district and other locations across the Park. Add to this some of the best sporting facilities in the UK, at prices which are affordable to all and the Park becomes a place that continues the sporting and healthy lifestyle traditions set by the Games. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be a place to live, work and play – benefiting not only those residents living on the Park, but the communities surrounding it as well.
