CULTURE ON THE PARK

With unforgettable art and cutting-edge culture, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will open your eyes – every time you visit.

SOUND SURROUNDS

In the Park, the background will never just be background. Innovative architecture and unusual installations will form the impressive surroundings to the art and cultural activities located in the Park’s public spaces.

From outdoor performances to large-scale installations – this will be art at its most interactive and playful. You’ll be able test your sprinting skills with ‘Fast, Faster, Fastest’, a race against lights that will show how you compare with World champions . Or you could wander amongst Monica Bonvicini’s imposing sculpture ‘RUN’ to explore new perspectives outside the Copper Box. Even the mundane becomes exciting, with light-enhanced underpasses and street performers in the South Park.

At all times, the Park will channel the energy, passion and creative ingenuity of East London. You’ll be able to experience festivals and art celebrating the diverse local cultural heritage – such as poetry-inspired installations revealing the area’s history or musical recitals in the North Park.

Throughout the Park, art and culture will integrate the site’s past with its present and future. Which means you’re bound to discover something inspiring and unusual – even if you’re simply taking the dog for a walk.
